  18. Some services (such as NetLogon, Server, and Workstation) have the option
  19. of being paused or stopped. You may expect that no connections would be
  20. effected when you pause a service, but there may be other consequences.
  21. Details on the effects of pausing a service are not included in the System
  22. Guide.

  27. For example, when you pause the Server service, the results are:

  29.  - It does not affect the connections of the existing users.

  31.  - It does not allow new connections to the server for users with user
  32.    level privilege even if you have an established session to this server
  33.    before the server was paused.

  35.  - It allows new connection to users who are memebers of the DomainAdmins,
  36.    Administrators, and Power Users groups.

  38. The behavior of a service when it is paused depends on the service, but
  39. mostly revolve around granting special privileges to accounts belonging to
  40. privileged groups.
