  17. This problem may occur in other applications in addition to those tested.
  18. Adobe Illustrator, Aldus Freehand, and Microsoft Powerpoint were tested.
  19. When you try to save a file from a Windows NT server (running Services for
  20. Macintosh) to a Macintosh computer, error -123 appears.
  21.  
  22. NOTE: In Aldus Freehand, the error message states that a disk write failed.
  23.  
  24. You can use the Save As option under the File menu, and the first time you
  25. save a file, the save is successful. The error only occurs when saving to
  26. an existing file.

  28. CAUSE
  29. =====
  30.  
  31. This problem is caused by the failure of Services for Mactintosh to support
  32. the Macintosh API command FpExchangeFiles.
  33.  
  34. WORKAROUND
  35. ==========
  36.  
  37. To work around this problem, copy the file to the hard disk on the
  38. Macintosh, edit the file and save changes, then copy the updated file back
  39. to the SFM volume of the Windows NT Advanced Server computer.

  44. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
  45. Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S.
  46. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. For
  47. information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in
  48. the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
