- SYMPTOMS
- ========
-
- You may experience some problems when you upgrade your CPU on an existing
- Windows NT installation.
-
- RESOLUTION
- ==========
-
- In most cases there should be no issue in upgrading a CPU, though there can
- be problems with incompatibility after the upgrade, even with a system on
- the Hardware Compatibility List. Be sure to test any CPU upgrade thoroughly
- on each platform before you attempt a large-scale upgrade. If problems
- arise, you may need to contact your hardware vendor to upgrade a system
- board or to follow other procedures they may suggest.
