- SYMPTOMS
- ========
-
- When you upgrade from a LAN Manager server to Windows NT, in User
- Manager you may notice some strange behavior. In the User Environment
- Profile dialog box, instead of containing the proper path to your home
- directory, the Local Path field contains a universal naming convention
- (UNC) path. If you attempt to continue with this path, User Manager
- informs you that the UNC path is invalid. You are required to enter a
- drive letter in the Local Path field. Also, if you choose connect to
- your home directory, the information in the Local Path field is not
- reproduced and you must retype it.
-
- Also, Winlogon will log you on with an invalid local path and assign
- the home directory to the root of drive C without cautioning you.
