  19. You may encounter a problem with Event Viewer if it has been running
  20. for a long time and creating a lot of event logs. After several
  21. hours, Event Viewer starts to take more and more memory. It does not
  22. release memory properly when it performs certain operations on the
  23. event log. This problem occurs even when you instruct Event Viewer to
  24. keep to a maximum event log size.

  29. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and
  30. Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in
  31. the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced
  32. Server version 3.1. For information on obtaining the Service Pack,
  33. query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without
