- If you install Windows NT and do not create any local user accounts,
- the Username field on the Welcome screen will be blank when you start
- Windows NT the first time. To log on, you must log on as either a
- guest or the administrator, using the appropriate password.

- If you create a user account when you set up Windows NT, the first
- time you log on, that user name appears in the Username box on the
- Welcome screen the first time you log on.

- If no local user accounts are created during the Windows NT setup
- process, they can be added later using the User Manager application in
- the Administrative Tools group.
