-
- You are unable to access Windows NT when you use Fifth Generation
- Systems Disklock. Disklock is a data security application that uses
- password protection and an optional data encryption scheme to keep
- your computer secure from unauthorized access.
-
- If you run the Disklock installation program from within Windows NT,
- it will fail with an "æUnable to locate physical sectorÆ" error
- message.
-
- Disklock installs correctly from MS-DOS even if Windows NT is
- installed on your system, but when you attempt to start Windows NT,
- you will receive a stop screen with the following message:
-
- ***STOP: 0x0000007B INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
-
- Disklock must be removed (uninstalled) to be able to open Windows NT.
- This is a design feature of Disklock because it modifies the Master
- Boot Record on your hard disk drive so that it is unreadable unless
- DISKLOCK.SYS is loaded from CONFIG.SYS and the correct password is
- supplied.
-
- The Disklock product included here is manufactured by Fifth Generation
- Systems, a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty,
- implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or
