  18. The following error message may appear when trying to print under
  19. Windows NT or Windows NT Advanced Server:
  20.  
  21.    Error writing to LPT1:
  22.    The system cannot find the file specified.
  23.    Do you wish to retry or cancel the job?
  24.  
  25. NOTE: This problem may occur with communications ports as well (COM1:
  26. for example).
  27.  
  28. CAUSE
  29. =====

  31. The above error message appears when the CMOS settings are not
  32. correctly set for your local print port. Even if a local print port is
  33. disabled in your computer CMOS settings, Windows NT still allows you
  34. to install and share a local printer.

  36. RESOLUTION

  39. To resolve the error, activate the print port in your CMOS settings.
  40. See your computer documentation for details.
