- In Windows NT, if you change the font size of a minimized full-screen
- Windows NT command prompt (CMD.EXE), when you reopen the full-screen
- command prompt, the screen may not redraw correctly.

- RESOLUTION
- ==========

- To correct these screen problems without having to restart the command
- prompt, press ALT+ENTER to place the command prompt in a window and
- then press ALT+ENTER to restore it to full screen. This causes the
- screen to redraw correctly.

- Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.1
- and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. We are researching this
- problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge
- Base as it becomes available.

- Steps to Reproduce Problem
- --------------------------

- 1. In the Main group, open a command prompt.
-
- 2. From the Control menu, choose Settings.
-
- 3. In the Display Options box, choose Full Screen, then choose OK.
-
- 4. When the Windows NT command prompt takes up the full screen, press
- CTRL+ESC to minimize it and bring up the Task List.
-
- 5. Ignore the Task List and use the mouse to click once on the
- minimized MS-DOS (command prompt) icon.

- 6. From the System menu, choose Fonts and select the 16x12 font.
-
- NOTE: Other font sizes may cause this problem as well.

- 7. Choose OK.

- 8. Double-click the mouse to open the command prompt icon with
- full-screen display.

- At this point, the full-screen command prompt is not drawn correctly.
- (For example, the C:\ prompt may appear in the middle of the screen.)
