  16. SYMPTOMS

  19. When you are running Microsoft Publisher version 2.0 in Windows NT, if
  20. you choose Network from either the Print, Setup or Print Setup options
  21. on the File menu, you may receive the following error message:

  23.    MSPUB caused an exception in the Win16 Subsystem
  24.  
  25.    Click on CLOSE to terminate the application
  26.    Click on CANCEL to debug the application
  27.    Click on IGNORE to continue, you should save your work in a new
  28.    file
  29.  
  30. If you choose Close, Publisher quits. If you choose Cancel or Ignore,
  31. you will receive the following error message:
  32.  
  33.    An application error has occurred
  34.    and an application error log is being generated.
  35.  
  36.    NTVDM.exe
  37.    Exception: access violation (memaddress), Address memaddress

  42. To work around this problem, connect to a network printer using Print
  43. Manager before opening Publisher.

  48. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
  49. Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S.
  50. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. For
  51. information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in
  52. the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
