  19. Windows NT Terminal cannot save a TRM file with uppercase letters even
  20. if it is being saved to an NTFS or HPFS partition.

  22. Steps to Reproduce Problem
  23. --------------------------

  25. 1. Open Terminal from the Accessories group.
  26.  
  27. 2. From the File menu, choose Save As.
  28.  
  29. 3. Try to type capital letters in the File Name box.
  30.  
  31. You will not be able to use capital letters in the filename. This
  32. occurs when trying to use the SHIFT key as well as the CAPS LOCK key.
  33. The type of file system (NTFS, HPFS, or FAT) makes no difference.

  35. RESOLUTION

  38. To workaround this problem, save the file to an NTFS or HPFS partition
  39. with Terminal and then use the File Manager to rename the file to
  40. uppercase letters.

  45. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.1
  46. and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. We are researching this
  47. problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge
