  18. In Windows NT, when you are editing a 256-color bitmap (.BMP) file
  19. that is Paste Linked into Ventura Publisher version 4.1, the following
  20. error message may occur:
  21.  
  22.    VPWIN caused an exception in the Win16Subsystem
  23.  
  24. This error message usually occurs immediately after you change the .BMP
  25. picture, such as when you draw a line.
  26.  
  27. WORKAROUND
  28. ==========

  30. To work around this problem, select Paste Special (instead of Paste
  31. Link) in Ventura Publisher and then select Paste Link from the dialog
  32. box. The error message will not occur if this method is used.

  37. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.1
  38. and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. We are researching this
  39. problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge
  40. Base as it becomes available.
