  18. If a beta version of Microsoft SNA Server for Windows NT is installed,
  19. the following Kernel STOP message may appear on startup:
  20.  
  21.    STOP: c0000221 Unknown Hard Error
  22.    \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\dlc.sys
  23.  
  24. CAUSE
  25. =====
  26.  
  27. The April beta version of SNA Server contained DLC patches as a
  28. workaround for a beta Windows NT bug. The patched DLC.SYS file for
  29. beta Windows NT causes the released Windows NT version to stop
  30. responding when you start a DLC session.
  31.  
  32. RESOLUTION
  33. ==========
  34.  
  35. If the system partition is FAT and on an Intel platform, boot to
  36. MS-DOS and expand a new copy of DLC.SYS off the released Windows NT
  37. CD-ROM or floppy disks.
  38.  
  39. The new copy of DLC.SYS should be expanded from the CD-ROM or floppy
  40. disk and placed in the winnt\system32\drivers subdirectory on the BOOT
  41. drive.

  43. If the System partition is not FAT, Windows NT must be reinstalled.
