  15. WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious,
  16. system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT to
  17. correct them. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting
  18. from the use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your
  19. own risk.

  21. If you are troubleshooting Windows NT or applications that are running
  22. with Windows NT, you may need to verify that a print share or
  23. installed printer has been completely deleted.
  24.  
  25. Th following information shows the default locations in the registry
  26. database for references to installed printers or print shares.
  27.  
  28. To remove references to the printer or print share, use the Registry
  29. Editor. Note that ALL references must be deleted to insure complete
  30. removal of the print share or installed printer.
  31.  
  32. NOTE: Text enclosed in angle brackets (<>) brackets refers to
  33. machine-specific names. "\\PrintShare\Printer" refers to the UNC path
  34. to the specific printshare.

  36. If the printer was installed from Print Manager using the Connect
  37. To Printer option, the printer information will be located in the
  38. following keys:
  39.  
  40. HKEY_USERS on Local Machine
  41.    S-<user id number> \ Printers \Connections
  42.       PrintShare\Printer
  43.  
  44.    Delete the key "\\Printshare\Printer"
  45.  
  46. HKEY_CURRENT_USER on Local Machine
  47.    Printers \ Connections \\PrintShare\Printer
  48.  
  49.    Delete the key "\\Printshare\Printer"
  50.  
  51. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE on Local Machine
  52.    Software \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ Current Version \ Devices
  53.  
  54.    Delete the value "\\Printshare\Printer" : REG_SZ
  55.  
  56. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE on Local Machine
  57.    Software \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ Current Version
  58.       PrinterPorts
