- SYMPTOMS

- Your account is a member of the Backup Operators group, but not a
- member of the Administrators group. Machines list as normal when you
- start Server Manager. If you try to use Properties from the Computer
- menu, you get an "access denied" error message.

- CAUSE

- The Backup Operators group does not have sufficient privileges to
- perform remote administration.

- RESOLUTION
- ==========

- To remotely administrate domain members, you need to be added to the
- Administrators group.
