  15. To use the route utility to define a route for an entire subnet to a
  16. specified gateway, specify a zero (0) for the portion of the IP
  17. address that pertains to the host.
  18.  
  19. For example, to route all packets destined for net 139.6 to the
  20. gateway at 139.3.0.1, use the following syntax:
  21.  
  22.    ROUTE ADD 139.6.0.0 139.3.0.1
  23.  
  24. If you do not specify the zeros in the host portion of the IP address,
  25. the route utility returns an "Invalid Argument" error.
