- The following error messages may be displayed during the boot process
- of Windows NT on an Intel x86 machine. Error messages are listed with
- possible causes and resolutions.

- BOOT: Couldn't find NTLDR
- Please insert another disk.

- The NTLDR program has been deleted from the boot drive or is not
- located in the root directory.

- Error Opening NTDETECT

- located in the root directory.

- The time-out option for the Boot Loader in the BOOT.INI file may be
- set to 0.

- The path of the default operating system in the Boot Loader section of
- the BOOT.INI file is different than any of the paths listed in the
- [operating systems] section.

- The system did not load because of a computer disk hardware
- configuration problem.
