- Last Update : Aug. 16, 1994.
-
- Overview
- --------
-
- This is the winhelp (v3.5) version of the interrupt list hypertext created
- by il2hdk - intlist 2 help development kit, that was compiled using helpc to
- rtf sources, and hcp (protected mode hc31).
-
- Please refer to the Warranty and Credits topics of the help file, but as allways -
- this file is provided as is. (Warranty issued are described in a later section)
-
- This file is not intended to replace the interrupt list, it is just a
- compilation of the hypertext version. The nice thing about this hypertext
- database is that it includes nice hot-links, and easy to use database
- structure with categories, indexes and directories. Smart popup hints in
- the text is supported provided, based on the glossary.lst file.
- Using winhelp you can search the database for keywords as well.
-
- If you want to create the hypertext version to other targets, please
- do the following :
-
- 1. Download the latest version of the interrupt list. (interXXn.ZIP)
- 2. Download il2hdkXX.ZIP - the interrupt list to HLPDK converter.
- 3. Download the hdkXXXy.ZIP - The help development kit.
- 4. Use il2hdk to convert the interrupt list to the intrpts.hdf source.
- 5. Use the helpC compiler included with the hlpdk to convert intrpts.hdf
- to the target help envitonment.
- 6. Optional - target dependent - compile the helpC output with your
- help compiler.
-
- This package was created from V42 of the interrupt list, using il2hdk V3.2,
- compiled using helpC 12.0 to RTF and HPJ, and converted to WinHelp format
- using Microsoft's protected mode HC31 (HCP) help compiler. This version
- uses an experimental PASTERP Control for WinHelp DLL.
-
- Quick Start
- -----------
-
- The hypertext database is split to 3 files, in several archive files, the
- archives are called INTWxxc where xx is the version number of the hypertext
- database (xx is the interrupt list version), and c is the archive.
-
- Download the archive files, extract the files from them, and do the
- following :
-
- From Windows Open the Program Manager,
- Choose File|Run
- execute install.exe
-
-
- Warranty

- There is no warranty what so ever, The package is supplied as is,
- the author of the conversion program (Loewy Ron) or HyperAct, Inc., are not,

- HLPDK
- -----
-
- The help development kit is a commercial product that allows you to create
- your help sources once, and port them to multiple platforms. In V12.0
- of the package (Professional Author), which is the version that was used to
- test the output of this program, the supported targets are :
-
- Native (Paradox 4.x & Text)
- Native (Memory Tables)
- Winhelp 3.0
- Winhelp 3.1
- MS Multimedia Viewer
- OS/2 IPF
- THELP (and Borland's IDE)
- QuickHelp
- POPHELP
- TVHC
- DESQview/X help
- World Wide Web (via HTML) clients - Windows, Unix, Mac, VMS and more...
- Text Documents with automatic table of contents, Glossary and index entries.
- Word Processors that support the RTF format. (W4W, WP4W, AP etc..)
-
- HLPDK Supports keywords, links, popups, structural and navigation aids (groups)
- text attributes, cross reference reports, conditional defines, the ability to
- insert target code into the hlpdk source, exception handling and much more.
-
- With HLPDK you can write your documentation once (both for on-line hypertext
- documents on several platforms and targets, and for a hard-print as ascii or
- fine-print document) once, and re-compile to additional targets.
