The data transfer speed of your CD ROM drive (e.g. 2X or 4X) is displayed in this box. Please note that the entry listed here is the actual speed of your drive when the CD MATCH program was run. This entry may not match the manufacturer's rating for your CD ROM drive. This is because the data transfer of your CD can be affected by the efficiency of your operating system as well as by the system overhead of your network and audio cards. In a few cases, caching may result in an artificially high speed (8X or greater). If so, insert a different CD to eliminate the effect of caching and run CD MATCH again.
