Upper East Side is a Type 1 PostScript font (works with ATM version 1.2 or higher) in an art deco style that works well in both text and display applications. It contains a full set of characters, including diacritics, and has 477 kerning pairs. Zowie! Upper East Side resembles a well-known display font called Parisian, which looks like the work of the designer of the typeface Broadway on a GOOD day. It is called UpperEastSide to complement my shareware font UpperWestSide, and because I've seen this font all over the East Side, from Book Store signs to menus. Here's a little peek:

If you also have my font UpperWestSide, FIRST, PAY FOR IT! Second, if you have both fonts installed with Adobe Type Reunion Active, you will now have an "Upper" item on your menu with a submenu that contains "EastSide" and "WestSide."
UpperEastSide is DonateWare. If you keep it, you are requested (ooh, I HATE the passive voice!) to make a tax-deductible contribution to Columbia University of at least $9.99, as follows: Make the check payable to Columbia University and mail it to Cynthia Lemiesz, 703 Dodge Hall, Columbia University, New York, NY 10027. With your check enclose a postcard of any town that isn't your hometown or an old cash register receipt, and write on it: "Dear Cynthia: Here's $9.99. We've seen better weather here, but I can't complain. The guy in the paint store says I have to go now."
Permission is granted to individuals and non-profit organizations to distribute copies of this font as they please, providing all four files contained in this archive are included. Permission is specifically denied to any for-profit organization that resells public domain or shareware software to sell this font or distribute this font in any way, unless they receive my specific permission via E-mail on GEnie (RAKMAN) or Compuserve (73240,3060). Budgetbytes is exempt from the previous proviso.
