  1. This printer driver has been written and authorized by Epson 
  2. America, Inc. for Microsoft Windows 3.0 for use with the following
  3. Epson printers:  LQ-860, LQ-1060 and LQ-2550.  Below are
  4. instructions for installing the driver.

  7. DIRECTIONS FOR INSTALLING THE NEW EPSON LQ COLOR DRIVER FOR
  8. WINDOWS: 
  9.  
  10. 1)   Insert the disk into drive A.
  11.  
  12. 2)   Copy the file GENDRV.DLL to the \Windows\System             
  13.      sub-directory. 
  14.      (example - c:\copy A:GENDRV.DLL c:\windows\system)
  15.  
  16. 3)   Load Microsoft Windows 3.0
  17.  
  18. 4)   Select Control Panel from the Main Group window in Program 
  19.      Manager.  The Control Panel window appears. 
  20.  
  21. 5)   Select the Printers icon.  The Printers dialog box appears. 
  22.  
  23. 6)   Select the Add Printer button.  The dialog box expands to 
  24.      display a list of printer-driver files. 
  25.  
  26. 7)   Select "Unlisted Printer" at the end of the display. 
  27.  
  28. 8)   Select Install.   
  29.  
  30. 9)   Select the drive and path of the Windows driver (A:\), then
  31.      select OK. 
  32.  
  33. 10)  Select the "EPSONLQC.DRV" driver and choose OK. 
  34.  
  35. 11)  Select CONFIGURE and select a port. 
  36.  
  37. 12)  Select SETUP from the PRINTERS - CONFIGURE dialog box to
  38.      select color printing, graphics resolution, paper source,
  39.      paper size and orientation, then select OK.
  40.  
  41. 13)  Select OK from the PRINTERS - CONFIGURE dialog box.
  42.  
  43. 14)  Define the new driver as ACTIVE, then select OK.
  44.  
  45. 15)  Close the control panel.  The new LQ driver is now installed.
