  20. What's new in this version:
  21.  
  22. It was recently brought to our attention that "CONMAN" is the
  23. registered trademark of Jason Data Services of El Toro,
  24. California.  Therefore, our product name has been changed to
  25. "GAGE Network Connection Manager" or ConMgr for short.

  27. A online help file is now included that is accessible
  28. through the Help menu or by pressing F1.

  31. in the order.wri file.

  33. Introduction:
  34.  
  35. The intent of this product is to provide an easy way for Windows
  36. users to access the features of their network without having to
  37. go through the Windows File Manager and Control Panel.  
  38.  
  39. The primary interface allows the user to easily make and break
  40. network connections.  This includes shared disk drives as well
  41. as printers.  It provides a list of the current connections and
  42. allows a user to store frequently used network paths for
  43. quick access.  Secondarily, the interface provides access to the
  44. extended features that are built into some Windows network
  45. drivers.

  48. Use:

  50. To use this product your network software must be loaded before
  51. you start Windows.  You must be running a Windows network driver
  52. that supports the Microsoft Windows Network interface
  53. specification (if it works with the File Manager and the Control
  54. Panel, you're okay).  You can run ConMgr from the Program Manager
  55. by running it from the File/Run menu or by adding it to a group
  56. and double clicking on its icon.  Personally, I run it from the
  57. Tools menu in Metz TaskManager (or the ThreadZ TaskManager if 
  58. you've upgraded).  ConMgr will not load if your network is not
  59. running.  If this is the case, exit Windows and start your
  60. network software.  The first time you run ConMgr you will be
  61. greeted by a shareware notice message, read it and click OK to run
  62. ConMgr.  Your current network connections will be displayed on
  63. the right in the list box labeled "Current:".  If have no
  64. connections the list will be empty.  See the online help for
  65. how to connecting and disconnecting network resources.
