Welcome to the VCR Tape Catalog. This utility will allow you to use Toolbook and your computer to record all your video tapes, video disks, or whatever else you have that has to do with video. You can record a tape's title, its stars, whether or not it is a pre-recorded or self-recorded tape, and even leave your comments about what is on the tape. Record what you thought of the tape, the movie or event, important notes to yourself, dates, times, places, etc. There is no limit to what you can put there.
The program is very simple to operate. Most all functions are controled via buttons on the bottom of the page:

NEW Adds a new page to book
DELETE Removes a page from book
SORT Sorts book by Title or
by an Actor
LEFT ARROW Moves back one page
RIGHT ARROW Moves forward one page
SEARCH Allows word searches
REPEAT Allows repeated searches
based on previous criteria
EXIT Exits the program
There are also PRINT, CHANGE PRINTER, and SAVE commands under the "File" menu. There is also an ABOUT.... command there. Also, if you have the full version of Toolbook, there is the AUTHOR command under the "Edit" menu. However, you can only get into the author level with a password, one which I will provide to you via CIS e-mail or by America On-Line e-mail or by post or phone IF you send me the $5 donation I ask for this program. I will also tell you how to remove the "beggar's box" from the program. If you only have the runtime version of Toolbook, send me a disk, and I will send back to you a registered version of this program without the beggar's box. If you have the full authoring version, I will provide you with the Author level password so you can modify the book on your own.

This program was tested extensively on 286, 386SX, and 386DX machines, running both the runtime and full versions of Toolbook 1.0 There were no problems detected, so I assume it works. I do not, however, guarantee that it will work on your machine. In other words, use at your own risk. However, I do not expect any problems. I will also not be able to support the program the way some of the big guys do, but if you leave me a message on CIS or AOL, I will try to help you in any way I can. Also, since this is shareware, one of the best sources of improvements is you. If you have a suggestion as to how to improve this program, or there is a feature you think should be there that is not, please drop me a note on CIS or AOL. I welcome such suggestions, and have always incorporated them into past programs. There will be updates posted from time to time on CIS and AOL, whenever I find new features to add or improvements to make.
