  11. Sometimes a  perfect program comes  along. One that  blends style, play,
  12. and communication  all into one.  The product: a  game you can  play for
  13. years without ever tiring.

  15. Surely you realize that the game of  Mah Johng isn't new. No, that's not
  16. what I mean. What Nels Anderson has done is set a new standard, not only
  17. for EGA games, but personal computer games in general.

  19. My normal review style would not  do this program justice, for the words
  20. would  just confine  the entire  program.  What  I will  do, though,  is
  21. describe  the program  through a  series of  unorganized bullet  points,
  22. which hopefully will inspire you to get this program and try it.

  26.      ∙ EGA  Graphics at their best.  The graphics flow, and  you can see
  27.        the pictograms in great detail on the tiles.

  29.      ∙ Help. Sporting  on-line help, as well as,  the best documentation
  30.        for a game, you are sure never to go without an answer.
  31.  
  32.      ∙ Speed.  Unmatched speed for  a program of  such complexity. Even
  33.        when  the computer  is remembering  what tiles  you selected,  it
  34.        burns!

  36.      ∙ Play. This bullet point will be the biggest. Playing MAHJON32 is
  37.        like  playing  not  a  computer,  but  yourself.  You can compile
  38.        statistics, play tournament games, and even select which board you
  39.        want. During play you can ask for  help, take a move back off, or
  40.        even look at what you have taken off so far.

  42.      ∙ Price. $10.00. What else can I say.

  44.      ∙ See, the beauty of the program  lies in the fact that it is cheap
  45.        and powerful. Most games are either, but very few are both.
