  16. detailed twenty-five page questionnaire on all aspects

  18. of this field from the Japan Electronic Industry

  20. Development Association (JEIDA).  This document clearly

  22. reveals how profound and penetrating their concern with
  23.  
  24. language, usage, and translation really is.  Here are

  26. some direct quotes from the questionnaire:

  102. is signed by the "Special Committee on Machine

  104. Translation System in JEIDA" and assures us that the
  105.  
  106. members of their parent organization are "Japan's
  107.  
  108. leading manufacturers of computers and computer-related
  109.  
  110. equipments."
