  3.                     Monitor Alignment Program
  4.  
  5. This program can be used to check out and align your color
  6. monitor.  It consists of a number of screens that are used for
  7. checking and aligning such things as convergence, linearity,
  8. color purity and color alignment.
  9.  
  10. Dot Matrix Screen:  Used for aligning the convergence of the guns
  11.                     in the CRT in the monitor.  All the dots
  12.                     should appear white.  Convergence alignment
  13.                     should restore those dots that show the
  14.                     primary colors of the three guns: Red, Blue
  15.                     and Green.

  17. Crossbar Screen:    Used for aligning the vertical and horizontal
  18.                     linearity of the monitor.  All the boxes
  19.                     should look uniform in appearance.  They are
  20.                     not square, but should all look similar in
  21.                     size and shape.  Adjusting the linearity
  22.                     should correct any discrepancies in contour.

  24. ColorBar Screen:    Used for adjusting the color definition of
  25.                     the monitor.  There are eight bars of color,
  26.                     including black and white for adjusting the
  27.                     color settings of the monitor.

  29. Color Purity:       The Color Purity screens are used to ensure
  30.                     that the primary colors are uniform across
  31.                     the whole screen.  There are four color
  32.                     purity screens:  Red, Blue, Green and White.

  34. The initial information screen gives a synopsis of these
  35. functions, after which you can select from the Main Menu.

  37. Striking the SPACE-BAR at any time will always return you to the
  38. current Menu, either the Main Menu or the Purity Menu.  At either
  39. menu, striking "X" will exit the program.
