  19.   THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS THE LATEST, UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION
  20.   REGARDING THE USE OF BORLAND C++, TURBO C++ FOR WINDOWS, AND
  21.   TURBO PASCAL FOR WINDOWS TO CREATE MICROSOFT WINDOWS 3.1
  22.   APPLICATIONS.

  25.   Borland will support Windows 3.1 for its full line of Windows
  26.   language products: Borland C++ & Application Frameworks, Borland
  27.   C++, Turbo C++ for Windows, and Turbo Pascal for Windows.
  28.   Windows 3.1 compatibility kits will be available for each of
  29.   these products in Q2-92.  The compatibility kits will include all
  30.   the files you need to create and target Windows 3.0 and Windows
  31.   3.1 applications, including the lib's, dll's, .h and .tpu files
  32.   for multimedia, pen, true type and OLE support.  These kits will
  33.   also include online help for the Windows 3.1 API and example
  34.   files.

  36.   We are working very aggressively on creating these compatibility
  37.   kits.  Because they required final shipment of the Windows SDK
  38.   from Microsoft, we are unable to supply these files at this time.
  39.   As you are well aware, software often changes at the last moment,
  40.   and thus we need to make sure that our compatibility kits work
  41.   with the retail and SDK versions that Microsoft will ship.

  43.   Note: You may run into some difficulties with Turbo Debugger for
  44.   Windows when TDW is used in conjunction with Windows 3.1.  These
  45.   issues will be addressed in the compatibility kit.  Most of the
  46.   problems you experience are solved by simply renaming Microsoft's
  47.   CVWIN.DLL to WINDEBUG.DLL.  If you do not have access to
  48.   CVWIN.DLL, a Borland provided DLL called TDWIN.DLL can be used in
  49.   its place as a temporary solution.  TDWIN.DLL is available via
  50.   CompuServe, GEnie, BIX, or from the Borland Download BBS at
  51.   (408) 439-9096.  Download the file TDWIN.ZIP and unzip using
  52.   unzip.exe, which you will find in the BIN directory of your
  53.   Borland compiler.  A README.TXT file is provided along with the
  54.   DLL that contains additional information.
