  1. This is the 3.1 WINDOWS level of the HP LASERJET driver.  In some
  2. applications performance was seen to be several times faster than
  3. the previous 3.0 WINDOWS HP LASERJET driver which was shipped with
  4. GA level of OS2 2.0.

  6. Installation instructions:
  7.  
  8. Insert diskette containing the following files in drive a:
  9.  
  10.       UNIDRV.DLL
  11.       HPPCL.DRV
  12.       UNIDRV.HLP
  13.  
  14. Copy these files into OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM
  15.  
  16.       copy a:\*.* C:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM
  17.  
  18.  
  19. Go to desktop
  20. Click on OS/2 system
  21. Select Command Prompts
  22. Select WINOS2 Full screen
  23. Select Win-OS/2 Main
  24. Select Control Panel
  25. Select Printers
  26. Select Add Printer
  27. Select List of Printers: Unlisted Printer (last entry)
  28. Select Install
  29. Select Directories: System
  30. Select Driver Files: hppcl.drv
  31. Select OK
  32. install file A:\hppcl.drv
  33. ignore message - hit cancel
  34.  
  35. Notes: The printer should now be listed in the Installed Printers
  36.        as: HP LaserJets and compatibles ....
