  7.                 NetWare Version 2.15C Update Script Files
  8.  
  9. The current NetWare v2.15C Update Kit requires a workstation with two
  10. diskette drives of the same media.  The update kit will only update floppy
  11. diskettes.  Several script files have been written to allow the update to
  12. be performed without this diskette drive requirement.  These files are
  13. available on NetWire.  Please note that you must have a valid COMSPEC
  14. statement in your workstation environment that points to a device other
  15. than drive A: or B:.  This is explained further in technical bulletin #261. 
  16. The following is a list of the script files and a description of what each
  17. file does:

  19. *  HDS525.ARC  This file is used to temporarily copy the contents of the
  20.                update diskettes to hard disk (drive C by default).  It
  21.                will prompt the user for the various diskettes that need
  22.                to be downloaded; it will also clean up the files and
  23.                directories on the hard disk when it is finished.  (This
  24.                file is for SFT or Advanced NetWare 5.25" media only.)

  26. *  HDS35.ARC   This file performs the same function as HDS525.ARC, but is
  27.                for SFT and Advanced NetWare 3.5" media only.

  29. *  HDE525.ARC  This file performs the same function as HDS525.ARC, but is
  30.                for ELS NetWare Level II  5.25" media only.
  31.  
  32. *  HDE35.ARC   This file performs the same function as HDS525.ARC, but is
  33.                for ELS NetWare Level II 3.5" media only.
  34.  
  35. *  ULS525.ARC  This file is used to copy the contents of the update
  36.                diskettes to the network directory structure created by
  37.                NETGEN preparatory to network generation (F:\NETWARE by
  38.                default).  This file allows the user to use the network
  39.                generation method after the update procedure is completed. 
  40.                (This file is for SFT or Advanced NetWare 5.25" media only.)

  42. *  ULS35.ARC   This file performs the same function as ULS525.ARC, but is
  43.                for SFT and Advanced NetWare 3.5" media only.

  45. *  ULE525.ARC  This file performs the same function as ULS525.ARC, but is
  46.                for ELS NetWare Level II 5.25" media only. 
  47.  
  48. *  ULE35.ARC   This file performs the same function as ULS525.ARC, but is
  49.                for ELS NetWare Level II 3.5" media only.

  51. Each archive includes a script file and a batch file. The script files
  52. replace the REVC.xxx script files used by RED.EXE.  Each script file has
  53. a built-in "readme" that explains how the file is to be used.  Use the
  54. batch file to initiate the UPDATE procedure.
