README FOR SYSCON.EXE
This README file accompanies SYSCON.EXE v3.66. The following files
are included for this revision:
SYSCON.EXE v3.66 280,849 6-10-91 5:25p
PURPOSE:
SYSCON v.3.66 is intended for NetWare 386 v3.x and NetWare 286
v2.x. This new SYSCON fixes a problem of data and directories
being deleted. This occurs when accessing "Trustee Directory
Assignments" under "User Information" in the SYSCON utility.
If an attempt is made to add rights to a user for a specific
directory, and that directory pathname is entered incorrectly
with a forward slash following the colon after the volume name
(i.e. SERVER/SYS:/PUBLIC/DOS), all data in that directory is
lost.
This fix will be incorporated in future releases of NetWare
(after v3.11a and v2.2a).
To install this utility:
1) Flag SYSCON.EXE as SRW (Sharable Read Write) in the SYSTEM directory.
2) Rename SYSCON.EXE to SYSCON.old in the SYSTEM directory for backup
purposes.
3) Copy SYSCON.EXE to the SYSTEM directory on your system.
4) Flag the new copy of SYSCON.EXE back to SRO (Sharable Read-Only).
