LAN Manager 2.0 Patch 1 Update
Bug Fixes
[This document describes the bugs that were fixed for the Patch 1 update
to Lan Manager 2.0B]
#1)
Bug #: 567 Title: Deadlock in MSPBEUI under stress w/UP MAC Driver
Description of bug: Under stress from one client (2 sessions of test to
100MB file and 1 named pipe session), MSPBEUI would hang with the first
processor stuck with interrupts off.
#2)
Bug #: 756 Title: Named-pipe semaphore fails to clear
Description of bug: When messages written to a named-pipe are greatly
larger than the SIZWORKBUF and SIZREQBUG parameters, the server will fail
to clear the semaphore associated with a named-pipe when data arrives.
As an added side benefit, it will also lock the client workstation.
#3)
Bug #: 890 Title: Used resources greyed out on server in nif
Description of bug: When you set the focus to another server in the NET
nif, the user is unable to use any resources because the lines are greyed
out. This happens only when you are on a machine with its own net.acc
file and you don't have an account in this local net.acc file (you have
guest privs locally)
Duplication Scenario: log onto the network and get validated by the DC as a
valid user. This user account should not be on the local server (guest
privileges locally). Run the net.exe and set the current focus on the
domain controller (or any server on the net). At this point you cannot use
resources. You should be able to go to view, available resources, use
resource and see a list of shares at the domain controller and then do a
use to the public share.
