  2. DOS PHANTOM V2.1

  4. DOS Phantom is a keystroke record-and-playback utility. Recordings
  5. can be of any length and can be edited after recording.  Recordings
  6. can be played back at high speed or with delays.

  8. DOS Phantom is:
  9.     - A task automation tool
  10.     - A tool for creating self-executing demos (with looping and
  11.     timeout features)
  12.     - A software testing tool (including screen and print capture)
  13.     - A substitute for .BAT files
  14.  
  15. DOS Phantom recordings can be edited to include:
  16.     - Pop-up text windows
  17.     - Pop-up menus
  18.     - Pauses for user input
  19.     - Branching based on:
  20.         - menu selection
  21.         - program exit status
  22.         - appearance of a text string on the screen
  23.  
  24. DOS Phantom provides facilities similar to the scripting languages of
  25. popular communications programs such as Procomm and CrossTalk, but
  26. applied instead to *your* computer rather than the one you are connected
  27. to over the phone line.  You can even use DOS Phantom to control a
  28. Procomm session instead of using Procomm's scripting facility.

  30. DOS Phantom is useful as a batch substitute, as a regression testing
  31. tool for software development, for creating demos of software, and for
  32. automating any task you perform repetively on your computer.

  35. DOS Phantom is shareware.  The registration fee is $25.00.  All features
  36. are present in the shareware version.

  40.    Version 2.1 of DOS Phantom fixes a bug introduced in V2.0 which
  41.    prevented ALT and CTRL keys from playing back correctly into some
  42.    application programs, including CIM (CompuServe Information Manager).
