  6. DISKETTE INSTALLATION:    To install PC-Wizard onto your hard disk, simply
  7. place the PC-Wizard diskette in the A: floppy disk drive and at C:\ prompt
  8. type <A:INSTALL A> and press the <Enter> key. (Note: The trailing "A" informs
  9. PC-Wizard that the diskette containing its files is located in Drive A.)
  10.  
  11. When prompted to do so, provide the requested information concerning which
  12. hard disk drive that you desire to have PC-Wizard installed on. The install
  13. routine will automatically create a directory named \PCWIZARD on the selected
  14. hard disk drive and transfer all of the PC-Wizard program and data files to
  15. that directory. It will also create a batch file named PCW.BAT and a special
  16. control file named SYSA.PBP and place them in the root directory on drive C:
  17. and then automatically display the PC-Wizard System Start-up Advisory.

  19. NOTE:  If PC-Wizard was received from a bulletin board it will be necessary
  20. to UNZIP the file named PCWIZ01.ZIP and copy it to a diskette labeled "PC-WIZ
  21. Disk #1" and then UNZIP the file named PCWIZ02.ZIP and copy it to a diskette
  22. labeled "PC-WIZ Disk #2" prior to commencing diskette installation.

  24. HARD DISK INSTALLATION:   For the convenience of users who may have received
  25. PC-Wizard through a computer bulletin board, allowance has also been made for
  26. installing PC-Wizard directly from the hard disk. The hard disk directory
  27. containing the PCW master files can be any hard disk directory OTHER than
  28. \PCWIZARD. (Installation from within the \PCWIZARD directory is prohibited!)

  30. The ZIP files that were received from the bulletin board should be placed in
  31. the unique, temporary directory and UNZIPPED using the PKUNZIP utility prior
  32. to commencing the PC-Wizard installation routine. It is recommended that a
  33. BACKUP copy of the ZIP files be made and placed on a floppy diskette for
  34. archive purposes!

  36. To install from the hard disk, simply make the directory containing the PCW
  37. master files the CURRENT directory by issuing the appropriate ChDir command
  38. and then issue the command <INSTALL> and press the <ENTER> key.

  40. After installation has been successfully completed, PC-Wizard will ask if you
  41. want to REMOVE the temporary installation directory. A <Y>es response means
  42. that you want ALL files in this directory to be DELETED and the directory to
  43. be REMOVED. PC-Wizard will ask for confirmation before actually completing the
  44. removal process!
  45.
