- This is a rewritten version of the classic SNOW.COM, which was written
- ages ago because one Christmas Eve (1988) I was somewhere that it was not
- snowing and should have been.
-
- This one requires EGA or VGA, preferably VGA, and is much better at looking
- like a real snowstorm. Let it run for a couple of hours. All night. Longer.
-
- If you really like this, send me a dollar. No checks, no money orders, just
- stuff an old worn-out dollar in an envelope, put this on it:
-
- Scott Wenzel
- Weirdest Programmer On The Planet
- Galapagos Development
- 29 South Charles Street
- Red Lion, Pennsylvania 17356
-
- and I will be deeply humbled and appreciative. Of course, this isn't required.
- Just use the program, give it to everyone you know, and I'll still be happy.
-
- Snow takes only one parameter, the number of snowflakes onscreen at any one
- time. On a faster machine, use maybe 40 or 45. If you have a 486/50 you can
- probably have 80 or 100. On an XT (which likely won't have VGA!) probably
- six or seven is enough.
-
- Bye!
