TimeTrak Version 1.1 README.DOC
------------------------------------
LATEST PROGRAM INFO AT THE END OF THIS FILE
Please make sure you have all of the files that belong to the TimeTrak
Version 1.1 package. All of the files are listed in the file PACKING.LST.
If the PACKING.LST file or any of the files listed in PACKING.LST are missing,
please contact us for an official copy of TimeTrak Version 1.1 -- it
would not be fair to either the user or Ozimat Developments to have a
user evaluate an incomplete package.
New versions of TimeTrak are continually in development for future
release. Our upgrade policy says that if you choose to upgrade
to future versions you will get a FULL credit for the latest version
of TimeTrak that you have registered, so registering version 1.1 today
will not "cost" you tomorrow! Make sure to register version 1.1 so
that we can inform you as soon as possible when upgrades are available!
We have included a file called COMMENT.DOC which can be filled out and
mailed in if you have a problem, question, or enhancement request.
We process all feedback for consideration in future versions.
Check the CONTACTS.LST file for a current list of contact points
throughout the world.
We hope you will find our product useful. If you have any concerns please
contact us as we would like to hear them. Remember, we cannot afford to
work endlessly for no reward... If you think that TimeTrak is a great idea
that needs refinement, please register now. Those improvements just may be
included in the latest version thet we'll send you along with the manual
and keyboard templates...
Thanks for using TimeTrak Version 1.1!
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THIS FILE MAY NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE
OPERATIONS MANUAL DUE TO SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENTS OR REVISIONS
IN THE DOCUMENTATION AND DISTRIBUTION DISKS.
----------------
KEYBOARD CHANGES 30 October, 1991
----------------
(Addition)
Please note that the * ( ) _ keys on the top of the main keyboard
have been redefined as from version 1.1c.
PREVIOUSLY...
These keys allowed you to jump to the - NEXT -
WEEK / DAY / HOUR
* ( )
when the SHIFT key was held down.
NOW...
They work in the same way, but the key positions have been
<<reversed>> to read...
HOUR / DAY / WEEK / MONTH
* ( ) _
This was changed to <<add>> the MONTH function, as well as minimising
the incorrect move if the * key (NEXT HOUR) was pressed accidentally
instead of the & key (NEXT SUNDAY).
----------------
EVENT STATISTICS 14 October, 1991
----------------
(Addition)
From the DISPLAY menu, it is now possible to scan any
range of time, and display a total of time occupied - as
well as he number of events assigned to an individual or
'all' resources.
Refer to the DISPLAY EVENT STATISTICS function
------------------------------
ABILITY TO TOGGLE COLOR ON/OFF 10 October, 1991
------------------------------
(Addition)
The CONFIG menu now contains a 'Toggle COLOR' option.
If you are using any display other than a monochrome card,
you may select this option to toggle between the two color palettes.
The 'monochrome' palette is the same as that loaded with
the TT -m command line option.
-----------------------------------------
CONFIGURATION NOW STORED BETWEEN SESSIONS 10
October, 1991
-----------------------------------------
(Addition)
Whenever File-Exit is called, TimeTrak will store the current
'configuration' options in TTRAK??.CNF for re-use when the program
is started next time.
If environment variables (SET TT_xxxx = xxxxx) have been defined,
the SETtings will override the configuration file.
If the CNF file can't be read, or is from an older version of the
TimeTrak program, the contents will be ignored, and replaced at the
end of the current TimeTrak session.
----------------------------
CONFIG-OPTIONS NOT 'STICKING' 7 October, 1991
----------------------------
(Bug fixed)
In version 1.1a, if you displayed the contents of a
CONFIG-OPTION field, and pressed ESCape, it was possible
that the setting flipped over as you exited the selector.
Version 1.1b will now correctly display, store and retain the
values as you see and select them.
---------------------
ALARMS NOT TRIGGERING 14 August, 1991
---------------------
(Bug - fixed)
If your version of TimeTrak is dated earlier than 14 August 1991
it has a problem sorting alarms correctly. The symptom is that
when multiple alarms are stored in a schedule, TimeTrak refuses
to execute them at the expected time (or at all).
All versions on or after 14th August 1991 are working correctly.
------------------
REPEATING EVENTS 12 August, 1991
------------------
(Addition)
It is now possible to store an event that repeats on a regular interval...
Choose MULTIPLE when asked to confirm a new event for storage.
The screen will then prompt you to enter an interval to repeat
the event, this should be entered as a 2-value field...
nn x Wks/Days/Hrs/Mins/Secs
Example:
10 Minutes
5 Hours
14 Days
etc.
The next step is to -either- specify the number of times to repeat
the event, -or- alternately, you may designate the date and time
when the repeats should stop.
Once you have completed these entries, the computer will automatically
store copies of the new event at all the intermediate times.
To stop a repeating event, press the ESC key. Those events
already stored prior to pressing the ESC key will remain, and must
be explicitly deleted or purged.
