  7. The  jBASE 3  application is  a text  management system which
  8. allows  for  the  recording,  cataloguing,  and  retrieval of
  9. jokes. It is presented as  a humor resource (joke) management
  10. system but  can be used  for other small  text items such  as
  11. recipes, patient notes, record and tape descriptions, program
  12. information, etc.

  14. jBASE  3  is  fully  functional  as  a  joke  library system,
  15. allowing for  two major categories,  two point-score ratings,
  16. and keywords for each item in the library. Also included is a
  17. rudimentary text editor for preparation of input material.

  19. The registered version of the program, tBASE 3, provides some
  20. additional  features  such  as  the  maintenance  of multiple
  21. libraries, output of selected  text items in database format,
  22. and more general terminology.
