  5.         This is a shareware genealogical database system.  Supports
  6. multiple databases of up to 65,535 persons each.  Supports Gedcom.
  7. Prints Ahnentafel Charts, Pedigree Charts (4,5,6, & 7 gen), Family Charts,
  8. and Family Group Sheets.  Makes Tiny Tafels.  Has help screens.  Easy to
  9. use and has lots of other great features!

  14.         This program was originally distributed on BBS's as two compressed
  15. files.  The file extension may vary due to the many different file
  16. compression programs that are in use.

  22. Scrapbook as long as you abide by the following:

  83.         FCG v1.01      - A fan-chart generator.  Prints large, blank
  84.                          pedigree charts of 3-14 generations. Uses a lot
  85.                          of HD space and paper but looks GREAT!  Family
  86.                          Scrapbook is not needed to run it.  Now available!

  91.         The manual is contained in FAMILY.DOC.  Other documentation is
  92. contained within the *.HLP files which may be viewed and printed from within
  93. the program.  They are found in the "Helpful Info" menu.  A printed manual
  94. will be sent to you when you register.

  97. Reccomended Hardware
  98.  
  99.         1. 640 kilobytes of base ram (will use EMS if available)
  100.         2. hard drive, needs 400k of free space after installation for
  101.            creating temporary files in.
  102.         3. color monitor
  103.         4. A IBM, Epson, or HP compatible printer
  104.         5. DOS version 3.0 or higher

  107. Installation Instructions
  108.  
  109.         You need about 1.5MB of free disk space.  The program will need
  110.         more disk space as you add data.
  111.  
  112.         Uncompress all files onto floppy disks or a temporary subdir and
  113.         run the INSTALL program on disk #1. INSTALL will do the following:
  114.  
  115.                 1. Make a subdirectory on your hard disk
  116.                 2. Install the files into it.
  117.                 3. If you are upgrading from a version previous to 1.10,
  118.                    it will convert your old data to the new format.
  119.  
  120.         MAKE A BACKUP before you begin!  ...Just in case!
  121.  
  122.         Family Scrapbook will open up to 40 files.  Be sure that your
  123.         CONFIG.SYS file has a high enough FILES statement in it.  It
  124.         is reccomended that you set it to 40 or higher.  The line would
  125.         look something like this in your CONFIG.SYS file:

  129.         Consult your DOS manual if more help is needed with this step.
  130.         To start the program run the file: FAMILY.EXE
