NATURE OF THE PROGRAM NOW THAT IT SUPPORTS DEFENSIVE AND PITCHING
STATISTICS AS WELL AS THE OFFENSIVE AND GAME STATISTICS IT HAS
SUPPORTED IN THE PAST. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY
CAUSE.

Short Description:
------------------
Diamond Data is a complete baseball and softball statistics
tracking package. 34 different statistics are maintained for
batters, fielders (each position seperately), and pitchers. 9
different statistics for games are maintained. Databases can be
merged to provide season, league, or lifetime totals. No limit to
the number of players or games that can be entered.
Long Description:
-----------------
Diamond Data can be used to keep track of the members of a team
throughout the season, an individual player across several
seasons, etc. The built-in merge facility allows multiple
databases to be "added" together to form a composite database.
This gives the ability to have each season as an individual
database combining them to provide lifetime statistics, or have
each game be a seperate database and merge them to form season
totals. Exactly how you organize your databases is up to you.
Diamond Data covers the entire game - Hitting, Pitching, Fielding,
and Base Running. Even games can be entered to keep track of how
the season is going.
Diamond Data can track the following offensive statistics:
at bats batting average doubles
game winning RBIs games hit by pitch
hits home runs on base average
RBIs runs sacrifices
slugging percentage stolen bases strikeouts
triples walks
the following defensive statistics (for each position individually):
assists errors fielding percentage
putouts
the following pitching statistics:
earned run average earned runs hits given up
home runs given up innings pitched losses
runners/inning pitched runs given up saves
strikeouts pitched walks given up winning percentage
wins
Complete definitions of all the above statistics are contained in
an appendix within the documentation.
Diamond Data also tracks the following game statistics:
average errors/game average hits/game average runs/game
date played errors (each team) hits (each team)
home/away opponent runs (each team)
The built-in report facility lets you sort each player by any
statistic or combination of statistics and remove (or filter out)
those players below a particular threshold in each statistic.
Reports can be sent to the printer, screen, or a disk file.
