  17.      CourseMaster is a powerful authoring system and development tool 
  18.      for creating computer-based training, simulations, prototypes and 
  19.      interactive video programs. It is neither a menu-driven system nor 
  20.      a programming language, but a system of pre-programmed templates 
  21.      and utilities that enable an instructional designer or author with 
  22.      no programming skills to create sophisticated interactive training 
  23.      courses and simulations.

  25.      With CourseMaster, an author writes each screen in the lesson using 
  26.      any word processor capable of creating an ASCII file. The program 
  27.      is then compiled. PCX graphics can be displayed and external calls 
  28.      enable the trainee to run another program from within the lesson. 
  29.      Sophisticated contingency branching, answer-judging, multiple paths,
  30.      scoring, network support and extensive documentation provide a 
  31.      feature-rich system for the experienced instructional designer.

  50.    CourseMaster is a shareware program and is provided at no charge to 
  51.    the user for evaluation. Feel free to share it with your friends, 
  52.    but please do not give it away altered or as part of another system. 
  53.    The essence of user-supported software is to provide personal       
  54.    computer users with quality software without high prices, and yet to 
  55.    provide incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products. 
  56.    If you find this program useful and find that you are using Course-
  57.    Master and continue to use CourseMaster after a reasonable trial 
  58.    period, you are honor-bound make the registration payment indicated 
  59.    on the attached registration form. The registration fee will license 
  60.    one copy for use on any one computer at any one time.

  62.    You must treat this software just like a book. An example is that this 
  63.    software may be used by any number of people and may be freely moved 
  64.    from one computer location to another, so long as there is no possibil-
  65.    ity of it being used at one location while it's being used at another.    
  66.    Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the same time.

  68.    Commercial users of CourseMaster must register and pay for their copies 
  69.    of CourseMaster within 30 days of first use or their license is with-
  70.    drawn. Site-license arrangements may be made by contacting InterDigital.

  72.    Anyone distributing CourseMaster for any kind of remuneration must first 
  73.    contact InterDigital at the address above for authorization. This author-
  74.    ization will be automatically granted to distributors recognized by the 
  75.    ASP as adhering to its guidelines for shareware distributors, and such 
  76.    distributors may begin offering Coursemaster immediately. (However, 
  77.    InterDigital must still be advised so that the distributor can be kept      
  78.    up-to-date with the latest version of CourseMaster.)
