TIRE PRESSURES

Tire pressure is important for proper tire wear, smooth ride and fuel
economy. For the average around the city running, pressures should be kept
at 28 lbs. For high speed driving such as interstate on an extended trip
the best starting pressure is 30-32 lbs. Try it out at the different
pressures. . . they will feel harder on the road. But your gas mileage will
go up too. Whatever pressure you use, keep all tires at the same numbers.
Buy a fairly good tire gauge. The more expensive ones are more accurate.

Check tire pressure frequently until you find a pattern
of pressure drops. I suggest at least once a week
until you find you can go longer without changes in
your pressure. Most stations have air hoses although
some of them now charge for air. It's aggravating to
have to pay for air . . . but cheaper than new tires!
