- ThunderFind v2.15 - The Ultimate File Finder!
- Written By Josh Reznick - Copyright 1991 Digital Skyline
- ______________________________________________________________________________
-
- [INTRO] This is the third release version of ThunderFind, and this one
- has the most improvements of all. I now think it is the slickest
- file finder around. It now includes many options and features that
- you won't see in any other file finder. These things include: It's
- own menu enviornment, options to delete or move to another directory,
- searches all available hard disks C:-Z:, Output found file lists to
- screen, file, or printer, plus many more great handy features.

-
- [USAGE] ThunderFind is very simple to use, and it's own menu enviornment makes
- it even easier. There are no command line switches to remember. There
- are even no menu commands to remember. Almost everything in the
- program is arrow-key selectable. The main menu consists of the
- following choices:
-
- Find Files! - This is the command to initiate the search for the file
- or files that you are looking for. Use this command
- after you have selected the Filesearch Specs, and
- anything else you wish to use (delete/move toggle, etc.)
-
- Set Filesearch Specs - This command allows you to enter the filespec
- that you are looking for. (examples: *.doc,
- myfiles.*, t*.*, se*.exe, file.txt). You can
- also enter the filespec in the command line when
- you run the program (ie: "TFIND *.BAK"). The
- filesearch spec must be entered either in the
- command line, or by using the menu command
- before you select Find Files!.
-
- Delete/Move Toggle - This command will allow you to set wether or not
- ThunderFind should ask you if you wish to Keep,
- Delete, or Move the file. If you select "Yes",
- each time ThunderFind finds a file, a window will
- pop up with the Keep,Delete, and Move Commands in
- it. The Delete/Move toggle defaults to "No".
-
- Output Type Select - This command allows you to select what kind of
- output you want the found file list to be sent to.
- You can select either Screen, Disk, or Printer.
- Screen is the default. Note: the Disk and Printer
- options are only available on the registered
- version.
-
- Quit To DOS - This command just exits ThunderFind and puts you back in
- DOS.
-
- These are all the commands you need to know. Other than that,
- everything else is very self-explanatory. There are no extra "hidden"
- commands. Also, I suggest that you put ThunderFind in your DOS
- directory, so you can do a ThunderFind from within any directory. This
- makes the program even easier to use.
