  1. ────────────────────────────── Options ───────────────────────────────

  3.       Beep - Toggles ON/OFF. Turns beep on/off for errors, etc.
  4.  
  5. Grid lines - Toggles YES/NO. YES inserts grid lines in the FAST ACCESS
  6.              program display.
  7.  
  8.  Exploding - Toggles YES/NO.  YES will make the windows explode on
  9.              screen, instead of poping on screen.
  10.  
  11.   Compress - Toggles ON/OFF.  ON will allow more programs to be
  12.              listed on screen.  Grid lines will be deleted to get more
  13.              programs listed.
  14.  
  15.     Global - Toggles ON/OFF. Global cursor access ON will allow you to
  16.              move your programs anywhere on the screen.  You can have
  17.              blank spaces between programs, organize programs into
  18.              different columns etc.  When this option is ON, you will
  19.              see "GC" on the bottom of the screen.

  21.              NOTE: With this option ON, you cannot use the mouse to
  22.                    move a program.
  23.  
  24.       Park - Toggles YES/NO.  YES will park your hard drive with
  25.              the FAPARK.COM utility program when you quit FAST ACCESS.
  26.              Some older hard disks do not automatically park their
  27.              heads when you turn your computer off.  As a rule of
  28.              thumb, if your hard disk is less than 40 megabytes in
  29.              size (excluding portable computers), it probably does
  30.              not park it's heads automatically.  You can always check
  31.              with your computer vendor, or the hard disk manufacturer.

  33.              NOTE: Even if your hard disk does park it's heads
  34.                    automatically, having this option on (YES) will
  35.                    NOT hurt your hard disk in any way.
  36.  
  37.              NOTE: This command is independent of the parking done
  38.                    by the Blank option.
  39.  
  40.    Display - Toggles Standard/Enhanced.  If you have a EGA video
  41.              adapter installed, Enhanced will display 43 lines
  42.              instead of the Standard 25 lines.  If you have a VGA or
  43.              8514/A video adapter installed, Enhanced mode will
  44.              display 50 lines.
  45.  
  46.      Blank - Time in minutes that the screen will blank.  Must be less
  47.              than 31 minutes.  If you entered a Company name, that
  48.              name will be displayed when the screen blanks.  If a hard
  49.              disk is installed, the heads are automatically parked to
  50.              a safe zone as soon as the screen blanks by the
  51.              FAPARK.COM utility program.
  52.  
  53.   Password - Enable/Disable "Master" password.  Provides protection
  54.              throughout FAST ACCESS.  If the password is enabled, all
  55.              commands will be protected except the Add and Help
  56.              commands.  You will see "PE" at the bottom of the screen
  57.              with the "Master" password enabled.  You can protect
  58.              individual programs with there own unique password when
  59.              you use the Add or Revise commands, or use the "Master"
  60.              password to protect them.  If the password is disabled,
  61.              you will see "PD" at the bottom of the screen.

  63.                        !!! DO NOT FORGET THIS !!!

  65.              NOTE: For this feature to be active when you load FAST
  66.                    ACCESS, you MUST quit out of FAST ACCESS before you
  67.                    turn your computer off.  FAST ACCESS updates it's
  68.                    setup file every time you quit.

  70.              NOTE: This is NOT a fail safe protection method.  If you
  71.                    want complete protection from anyone accessing your
  72.                    hard disk data, buy a hard disk locking program.

  77.       Sort - Toggles Ascending/Descending/Custom.  This is the order
  78.              that program's are listed on the FAST ACCESS screen.
  79.              Select Custom and use the Move command to customize the
  80.              order of your program list.

  82.    Company - Name of your company.  If no name is entered, then when
  83.              the screen blanks, the copyright will be shown, else your
  84.              company name will be displayed.  Also, on the main screen
  85.              the company name will show up (if none is entered, it
  86.              will say "P R O G R A M S").

  88.     Editor - You can specify any file editor as your primary editor.
  89.              If you leave this option blank, FAST ACCESS will use it's
  90.              own file editor FAEDITOR.EXE.  You must use the full
  91.              pathname of your file editor.

  93.              Example: If you use DOS 5.0's EDIT.COM, then you would
  94.                       specify C:\DOS\EDIT.COM as your file editor.
  95.  
  96.    Manager - You can specify any file manager as your primary manager.
  97.              Leave this option blank if you do not have a file
  98.              manager.
  99.  
  100.              Example: If you use XTree's XTreeGold then you would
  101.                       specify C:\XTGOLD\XTGOLD.COM as your file
  102.                       manager.

  104. ────────────────────────────── Commands ──────────────────────────────

  106.     Colors - Allows you to change colors for: Background, Program,
  107.              Cursor, Grid line, Command line, Highlighted letter,
  108.              Status indicator, Border and Window accent.
  109.  
  110.              NOTE: Mouse users - You must double-click the left mouse
  111.                    button for any action to take place.  If you want
  112.                    to modify the Background color for example, then
  113.                    double-click on the word Background in the menu.
  114.                    To select a new color, you must double-click on the
  115.                    new color.

  117.       Help - This window.
  118.  
  119.       Quit - Exits the Setup Configuration window.
