  13.   pcwtex is a program to semiautomate translation of PC Write files to TeX.

  17.           PCWTEX was written to meet a need:  I use a copy of PCWRITE V2.2 
  18.           at home, as do my wife and children.  It is a good, simple, easy 
  19.           to use word processor,  and it prints quite well  on  our  Epsom 
  20.           LX800.

  22.           In my Department (at Monash University) we have the usual clutch 
  23.           of TEX/LATEX devotees,  and both LJ+ and Postscript printers.  I 
  24.           wanted to get access to the nice parts of  the  TEX/LATEX  world 
  25.           without   having  to  re-educate  both  my  family  and  myself. 
  26.           PCWRITE's functionality is fine;  what we  wanted  was  to  type 
  27.           Alt-I  in  a  document  and  be  able to print it in typical TEX 
  28.           style.

  30.           Hence PCWTEX. It is bit crude but it does most of the hard work.
