  2. to supplement PROGRESS.DOC.

  6. Initial configuration
  7. ---------------------

  9. The enclosed PGRES.CFG configuration file describes an installation,
  10. that differs from the PGRES defaults as follows:
  11.  
  12. 1. The program to invoke is defined as HS - the browsing program from
  13.    HyperShell.
  14.  
  15. 2. The parameter is defined as PROGRESS.HYP, which contains the
  16.    PROGRESS documentation as a simple hypertext.
  17.  
  18. 3. The user is prompted for HyperShell options, like -r for restart.
  19.    Just press enter for no options.
  20.  
  21. 4. The Free memory is 80 Kbytes, enough for the hypertext to run.

  24. KBD utility
  25. -----------
  26.  
  27. With PROGRESS you get a small utility, KBD, that can help you try out
  28. different popup key combinations.
  29.  
  30. While running, KBD will continously tell you the keyboard status. You
  31. can see the configuration code for PROGRESS by pressing an UNSHIFTED
  32. key, and then trying various shift combinations

  36. Known problems
  37. --------------

  39. PROGRESS does not always behave correctly, if you try to pop up while
  40. the computer is using the printer.
