Additional information for PROGRESS, version 1.10,
to supplement PROGRESS.DOC.
===================================================================
Initial configuration
---------------------
The enclosed PGRES.CFG configuration file describes an installation,
that differs from the PGRES defaults as follows:
1. The program to invoke is defined as HS - the browsing program from
HyperShell.
2. The parameter is defined as PROGRESS.HYP, which contains the
PROGRESS documentation as a simple hypertext.
3. The user is prompted for HyperShell options, like -r for restart.
Just press enter for no options.
4. The Free memory is 80 Kbytes, enough for the hypertext to run.
KBD utility
-----------
With PROGRESS you get a small utility, KBD, that can help you try out
different popup key combinations.
While running, KBD will continously tell you the keyboard status. You
can see the configuration code for PROGRESS by pressing an UNSHIFTED
key, and then trying various shift combinations
Known problems
--------------
PROGRESS does not always behave correctly, if you try to pop up while
the computer is using the printer.
HyperShell
----------
HyperShell is a great shareware hypertext system, available from the
author:

Cheshire, SK10 3DE
ENGLAND
or from the author of PROGRESS.
