  24.     In this self run demo, an F22 Advanced Tactical Fighter is taken for a
  25. ride in one of RETALIATOR's four war theatres, the Middle East. RETALIATOR
  26. includes over 100 missions, an integral "Zulu Alert" arcade game and....

  30.     Modem owners, along with anyone who connects two PCs via a serial lead,
  31. will be able to take full advantage of the HEAD TO HEAD section of RETALIATOR.
  32. Challenge another PC / RETALIATOR owner in this highly addictive battle.
  33. Air-to-ground and air-to-air combat, precision bombing and infuriating dog
  34. fights allow you to employ your most recent and most fiendish tactics. Yes,
  35. your MODEM was made for this!

  41.                  REQUIREMENTS
  42.  
  43.     To run RETALIATOR or this demo you need a PC with 512k or more RAM and
  44. DOS 2.0 or higher. Unlike most flight simulators, RETALIATOR will run at
  45. reasonable speeds even on XTs. A number of options are included to allow you to
  46. optimise the performance of RETALIATOR on your machine.
  47.  
  48.     The following video cards are supported.
  49.  
  50.         VGA 100% compatibles with 256k or more RAM
  51.         EGA 100% compatibles with 128k or more RAM
  52.         Tandy 16 colour mode (320 by 200)
  53.  
  54.     A wide range of mice and joysticks are supported along with LA-PC1 and
  55. ADLIB compatible sound cards.

  61.                    RUNNING THE DEMO
  62.  
  63.     This self running demo may be executed as explained below. You are not
  64. permitted to access the program code or data in any other way.

  67.       *    Unarc the RETAL.LZH file using LHARC X RETAL
  68.  
  69.     You will now have a new directory \RETALDEM which contains:-
  70.  
  71.         \RETALDEM \X.EXE
  72.         \RETALDEM \RETALDEM.00
  73.         \RETALDEM \RETALDEM.SR
  74.         \RETALDEM \READ.ME        (This text file)
  75.  
  76.     The RETALDEM subdirectory must be in your ROOT directory.

  78.     You will also have a batch file \RETALDEM.BAT
  79.

  81.       * Select the drive containing the \RETALDEM subdirectory as the default
  82.     drive

  84.       *    Enter \RETALDEM or \RETALDEM\X to run the demo

  86.       *    To return to DOS press ESC during flight
