  1.     Dear Job Seeker
  2.          My program "The Job Applicants DataBase" is designed to aid the 
  3.     skilled individual who is unable to locate work due to an 
  4.     circumstances beyond thier control. Such as: Graduate of an 
  5.     educational program but lacks initial experience, has had a long 
  6.     absence from the field and lacks current experience, or some other 
  7.     discriminatory factor, especially age or health condition (such 
  8.     factors cause employers to wonder about costs and the term they are 
  9.     willing and able to work). 
  10.          If you do not fall into this category I urge you to continue with 
  11.     other means. As this program uses a sales intensive method of 
  12.     repetitive applications and people who don't need to use it will 
  13.     reduce the effectiveness of people who do need to use it.
  14.          To use, gather together your collection of job openings and start 
  15.     the program. The program is executed like any program.

  19.     If any of the drive or paths are missing the default is assumed. Also 
  20.     for memory and security considerations it is not recommended that the 
  21.     program and the data be stored on the same disk. It is also 
  22.     recommended that the data be on a floppy drive that is backed up at 
  23.     least every month.
  24.          The program is extremely user friendly, I have provided on screen 
  25.     instructions for just about everything that could be expected from the 
  26.     user. It is also arranged in sequence, first you add new 
  27.     records,(keeping track of the record number it was entered under) 
  28.     second, edit records(by supplying record number) rejection letters 
  29.     have disclosed errors or additions. Third delete, records(by supplying 
  30.     record number) undeliverable applications or rejection letters that 
  31.     have lead you to believe a repeated application would be worthless, 
  32.     and, lastly extract this weeks employers producing labels and a merge 
  33.     file.
  34.          I have written this program to be compatible with all IBM-pc's 
  35.     and compatibles. from the simplest 86 to the most advanced AT. Please 
  36.     let me know if I am mistaken.
  37.          Much more information about my program, why it may work when 
  38.     others have failed, what you can expect when you register and MORE is 
  39.     included in the files ending in .DOC. To print all the files type: 
  40.     COPY *.DOC PRN.
