  4.                             Release Packages for BGFT

  7.         Dirac Systems is pleased to announce the release of BGFT  Version
  8.         2.11. Please read the file, BGFTREAD.ME, for the details.
  9.  
  10.         BGFT (BackGround File Transfer) is being distributed as Shareware
  11.         in  six different packages. BGFT is a large package and parts  of
  12.         it can be used for specific uses. The packages are:
  13.  
  14.         S    BGFTS211.ZIP - Standalone communications package
  15.  
  16.         This is a communications package that allows you to download  and
  17.         upload files in the background. It is user friendly and the  best
  18.         package to get to know the BGFT environment.
  19.  
  20.         T    BGFTT211.ZIP - Telix package
  21.  
  22.         This  allows users of Telix to have BGFT's background file  capa-
  23.         bility. Example scripts with documentation are provided.

  25.         Q    BGFTQ211.ZIP - Qmodem package
  26.  
  27.         This allows users of Qmodem to have BGFT's background file  capa-
  28.         bility. Example scripts with documentation are provided.

  30.         P    BGFTP211.ZIP - PROCOMM package
  31.  
  32.         This  allows  users of PROCOMM/PCPLUS to have  BGFT's  background
  33.         file capability. Example scripts with documentation are provided.

  35.         W    BGFTW211.ZIP - Windows package
  36.  
  37.         This  package must be used in conjunction with one of  the  other
  38.         BGFT  packages and Windows 3. The package consists of  a  Windows
  39.         program which monitors the progress of background file transfers.

  41.              BGFT211.ZIP - Entire package
  42.  
  43.         This includes all the above packages and is the full unregistered
  44.         package.
  45.  
  46.         Packages  1  and 6 will have the full documentation  whereas  the
  47.         others will have portions of it that are relevant to the package.
  48.         The  Telix, Qmodem, and PCPLUS packages will have the same  docu-
  49.         mentation  in the 'DOC' file; specific instructions can be  found
  50.         in  the  scripts themselves (see, for example,  the  scripts  for
  51.         Ymodem-Batch  download). The package documentation has the  form,
  52.         BGFTx.DOC, where 'x' is one of 'S', 'T', 'Q', 'P', or 'W'.

  54.         For  your interest, the following is a short description  of  the
  55.         files in each package. The letters on the left hand side indicate
  56.         the  package the file will be found in; it can be more  than  one
  57.         package.  Of  course,  the entire package will  contain  all  the
  58.         files.
