  3. An 80-column split-screen mode has been introduced, activated with ALT-M.
  4. In this mode the normal display occupies the left-hand half of the screen
  5. and may be copied into the right-hand half with another ALT-M.  The help
  6. page may be copied into the right-hand half by ALT-H ALT-M.  MAKEBAT now
  7. allows you to select split-screen mode automatically if required.
  8. The ALT-C (show codes) command may be used to return to full-screen mode.
  9.  
  10. The error messages 'Break rcvd', 'RX framing' and 'RX parity' have been
  11. removed.  If the baud rate is incorrect you will now get garbage characters.
  12.  
  13. When editing offline, the ESC-G code (alpha white) is now wrapped, for
  14. compatibility with Prestel's online editor.
  15.  
  16. The 'printer reset' string (ESC @) is no longer sent to the printer, as this
  17. caused subsequent form-feeds to misbehave on some printers.

  19. The keypad *, + and - keys are now user-definable with the ALT-K command.
  20. You may also permanently re-define these keys when you REGISTER the program.

  22. The DTR line no longer changes state on exit from Videotex, so that the
  23. modem will not hangup the telephone line.  Use ALT-N if you need to hangup.

  25. The line editing facilities when responding to a prompt have been improved.
  26. The Ins, Del, left-cursor and right-cursor keys may now be used for editing.

  34. You can test, in a ~| command, for the presence of a file with #"filename"
  35. which returns TRUE if the file exists and FALSE otherwise.
