Problem: Various functions not working.
Check that the option is NOT marked {+} this means it will
work ONLY of you are registered. If you are not sure and
you have a key a + sign will apppear at logon after 1.00+
Problem: Cannot send replies via Netmail to Echo mail
1) Check that you are registered and have a key
2) Check RACONFIG => MESSAGES => GLOBAL Options
=> Optional netmail Security - Set to at LEAST your
Security level as Sysop
3) Check the message has a valid address to reply to. If
not RA will be unable to respond.

problem, Get CONV10.LZH from here or any of the Official
Support sites.
Problem: I have little arrows showing at the bottom of my
Text Files
1) Use Strip_z.zip to remove them from all your .ANS and .ASC files.
Problems with binkley:
Using Binkley And REmoteAccess
Options:
1. If you run the mailer "Underneath RA" what actually happens is that
RA loads up, and then AUTOMATICALLY (FIRST THING!) RUNS BINKLEY.
Then when binkley senses an inbound call it exits with an errorlevel,
and instead of loading RA, we just drop back into RA where we were
before. Assuming you have enough RAM to do this, it's faster.
2. I run Binkley term first in a batch file, and load RA if I detect
an incoming call. This takes two seconds longer but requires less RAM.
My configuration is like this:
I have directories called C:\BT (with subdirs FILE for inbound, and OUTBOUND
for outbound packets, as well as FREQ for files available only for freq'ing)
Then under my C:\RA directory I have a file called BOARD.BAT.
It changes (funny thing!) to the BT dir, and runs Binkley, when Binkley exits
it runs SPAWNBBS.BAT which calls up RA.
All door handling is done inside SPAWNBBS.BAT. I basically got this all set up
for me initially, including handling of the NODEDIFF and MAIL files from Kent
Timm, who was a Fidonet sysop in this area at the time, and who is now in
Toronto, Ontario. (Hi again, Kent!)
It works well, although my batch files bear little resemblance to the ones he
originally left me, they were a lot of help!
valid as at 4th April, 1991
