Callers v2.r0
─────────────
SuperBBS v1.11 BBS callers to FrontDoor 1.99c Inbound. His
(c) 1991, andreas levenitschnig (INS), all rights reserved.
Dedicated to Veronika and her great son, Maximilian.
What's the stuff for?
────────────────────-
"Callers" will simply add the last caller who've visited
your SuperBBS system to FrontDoor's inbound historyfiles.
By hiting Alt-I fromin FroDo you can now overview all
system's activity during those days you've defined in
Fd.sys ("Days to keep history"). Version 1.r2 also writes
into file Lastcall.Fd. You'll see the last caller to the
BBS now in the "From:" field when Frodo's up again. From
version 2.r0 on I've included a dupechecker. Callers
already listed in Inbound. His get not listed again.
All inbound and outbound connections get now written to
an ASCII/ANSI file called Callers.A??. The output should
look like this (created in the current directory):

How does it work?
─────────────────
Start "Callers" from every path, drive or planet you wish,
if it doesn't find what i needs, it will abort. "Callers"
searches for the following things:
"SBBS" environment entry + a valid directory where it points to,
"FD" environment + the FroDo directory,
"FD.SYS" in the directory defined by "FD" environment settings,
"INBOUND.HIS" in the FroDo dir,
"OUTBOUND.HIS",
"LASTCALL.FD" also there,
"SCALLER.BBS" in the SuperBBS directory,
"USERS.BBS" also there.
After reading all the junk, "Callers" will add the following
to your inbound history: The user's logoff date+time, his name,
his amount of kilobytes up/downloaded during the last call in the
fields "rcvd" and "sent", the caller's age in the cost field, his
location where normally a nodes' location would be written and at
least your mainaddress defined in Fd.sys. If the user/system isn't
already listed, the ASCII/ANSI files get written.
If you don't want to have ASCII/ANSI files written, just call
"Callers" with parameter '-b' which stands for 'boring mode'.
Using this string, only the users will get inlcuded to both,
Inbound. His and Lastcall.Fd. Note: Boring mode speeds up
Callers *much*.
I'd recommend to run "Callers" after every call, either mail
or BBS to your system. Of course you can run the program as often
as you like, "Callers" has it's own internal dupchecker.
"Callers" will exit with errorlevel 1 if an required entry
in the environment is not found, with errorlevel 2 if a
file is not open or ready to be used.
If "Callers" dedects DesqView running, it will automatically
switch into "Dvmode" by falsing direct video writes. In the
world of civilized humans this situation shouldn't happen
much times (well ... ;-)).
Huh? That's all?
Yes, that's all ...
... nearly:

You can use the program on your own risk, following the
rules used for SuperBBS, since i wrote =this= program only
in a mixture of fun and the wish to support the SuperBBS
team. Keep up the good work, guys! Thanks also to Christian
Bauer (2:241/5604) for testing "Callers" under DesqView and
sending suggestions.
